Question by Jack White: Is this a wheel bearing or something else?
My truck is making a whining noise in the front end when I turn the steering wheel side to side. I only hear it when Im going slow but I thought it was power steering fluid but filled that up and its still doing it. I have a 2004 Silverado with 22′s on it and just looking for some help on this. Thanks
The sound just started about 2 weeks ago. Power steering fuid was bone dry so I put some in and it didnt fix noise.

A wheel bearing will not change it’s sound when you turn the front wheels. It still sounds like power steering. Perhaps the pump is worn out. Or, the power steering belt could be loose.
Wheel bearings will change sound according to road speed, not turning the wheels.
