How much should it cost to have the pinion and bearings replaced in my 2000 GMC Yukon?

I took it to the dealership and they took apart the rear differential. They said that the pinion and bearings needed to be replaced. When they told me the cost I couldn’t afford it so they tightened it down and replaced the fluid. The noise has gotten a lot worse after about two months now so I need to find someone that won’t rip me off. It is just a Yukon not an Denali or anything like that. I would like to know what price I should expect to pay for the parts, labor and how long it would take to complete the job? Thanks!!!

for what you’ve spent on gas in the past two months, you could’ve paid for the repair by the dealer.
it’s a huge gas guzzler.
